Mixed discrete-continuous planning is a rich research area that combines developments in planning, particularly temporal and metric planning, and optimisation techniques for continuous systems (including OR and constraint programming).

The group has been involved in several important developments in this area, including temporal planners Crikey and Crikey3 and TSGP and the continuous planner, Colin.
