Welcome to the PlanSIG website.
The UK Planning SIG website is a focal point for information concerning SIG activities and resources. It contains information on companies, events, mailing lists, news, papers and publications, and people in the AI planning and scheduling field. In addition, there are links to many planning and scheduling systems.
The SIG
The SIG is a lively and informal group. We meet annually in a technical workshop. This event regularly attracts 30-40 interested participants, drawing from industrial and academic contexts, across most of Europe (in 1999 we had participants from 11 different countries). The proceedings of the meetings (ISSN 1368-5708) are available on request. The meeting is an ideal forum for young researchers (including research students) to present work, including work in a preliminary stage, with opportunities for constructive discussion and feedback. It is also a valuable opportunity for interested parties to discover more about the nature of work going on this exciting and energetic area of research.
